Dundalk Grammar School grabbed the glory at the Drogheda and District Cross Country Championships.
Aoife Fay cruised to victory in the 1500m race, to win the individual gold. Team mates Amey Berill finished 4th, just missing out on 3rd spot in a sprint finish, followed by Ellie Wasylocha (6th) and Megan Wayte (7th). These top ten finishes helped secure gold medals in the team event, for four very happy DGS athletes.
Equally impressive was the performance of Junior School student Shauna Campbell who out-sprinted her nearest rival in the final few metres to win the primary school race. Well done to all!
