Learning Support

The introduction and development of strategies to counteract learning difficulties have been of immense help to many pupils.  The secondary school has a well organised special needs department that works closely with the National Educational Psychological Services (NEPS) and the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) as well as the appropriate sections of the Department of Education and Science.  All pupils are routinely assessed with a view to detecting any learning difficulties as early as possible.   It is understood that all teaching staff have a role in career guidance and learning-support.
