Sorcha Boyle visits 5th year Politics class

Sorcha Boyle, an advocate for MS, gave a very interesting presentation to the 5th year Politics class on Thursday Feb 1.

She spoke about her experience with MS from when she was diagnosed with it at 33 years of age. She discussed with the students attitudes in Ireland towards disability, the challenges of bringing it to the fore in political discussion, and how gender inequality issues play out when it comes to disability.

As is politics, the students asked many questions, and the exchange was interesting and informative. Sorcha is mother to Rhiannon, a 6th year student who also studies politics.
