Orienteering update

St Anne’s Park, Raheny was the venue for round 2 of the Leinster Schools Orienteering league and again DGS braved the elements in search of adventure and of course ‘controls’.

The ‘score’ format means the students have a map and 45 minutes to find as many of the orange and white flags or ‘controls’ as they are known, scoring points for each they locate.

It is a great test of map reading, route planning, navigation and of course your legs!

The highlight is always their print out at the finish when all is revealed and students can compare results.

Well done to all who competed. Round 3 will be in January, next year!🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
