23 Mar Leinster Orienteering Championships
Well done to all students who represented the school at the Leinster Orienteering Championships at a wet and cold Trooperstown, Wicklow.
Conditions were testing, both in terms of terrain and weather, however we had some notable performances.
First year, James Lavery made his way around the course, scoring 440 points, in the allotted 45 minutes which gave him 1st place, and the title of Leinster Champion.
Corentin Blanchet used all his experience gained over the years to win the Senior boys title, with a total of 560 points.
Feilim Connolly was a little unfortunate in the 2nd/ 3rd Year event amassing a grand total of 590 points, however a time penalty meant he just missed out on a top 3 finish.
