Well done to all 45 students who represented DGS at the 1st round of the Leinster Orienteering League in Santry.

Alysah Hollywood won the 1st Year girls event, and not to be out done by her sister, Shayla won the 2nd/ 3rd Year category with Dorothea Betz just behind in 3rd place.

Isabelle Janssen did well with a score of 430 points to win the Senior girls.

On the boys side 1st Years Adam Keane, Sean Spaight and Aaron O Donoghue claimed the top 3 spots. While Matthew Byrne and Louis Goodman both finished on maximum points in 1st and 2nd place in the 2nd/ 3rd Year event.

Top TY boys were Ronan Flanagan (1st)and Corentin Blanchet, (2nd)both completed the course in just over 27 minutes.

Finally DGS secured top 3 in the Senior Boys competition with Harry Winston, Goodnews Kuria and Alex Ofterdinger.

A great day for all involved and everyone is now looking forward to the next round in Cabinteely  Park, January 26th, 2022.
