13 Dec Rotary Youth Leadership Development Competition
Earlier in the term a group of 5th year students entered the annual Dundalk Rotary Youth Leadership Development Competition.
As part of their application, candidates were asked to reflect on their experiences in roles/positions of leadership and document the learning and skill sets developed.
At the initial school stage of the competition, rotarians Mr. Stephen Egan and Mr. Oliver McDermott, conducted interviews with all five candidates. They commented that the standard of DGS candidates this year was exceptional and a decision proved difficult.
Following much deliberation, Bebhinn was selected to represent DGS at the next stage of the competition, another set of interviews followed at the Ballymascanlon House Hotel.
Bebhinn was excellent and unfortunately did not advance to the regional stage.
The school would like to thank all the candidates for entering the competition, and especially Bebhinn who was a fantastic ambassador for DGS and a credit to her family.
Well done Bebhinn!
