09 Mar University Entrance Scholarships
Congratulations to all those former DGS students who have been awarded university entrance scholarships this month (November 2014). In all 6 students received entrance scholarships based on their exceptional performance in the 2014 Leaving Certificate examinations.

- Maynooth Entrance Scholarship

On 4th November, Shannon Breagy was awarded an entrance scholarship by Maynooth University.
On 13th November, another three past pupils, were awarded entrance scholarships to UCD: Andrew Boylan, Robert Mac Guinness and Blathnaid Sweeney.
On 18th November, Joseph Molloy and Siofra Herr were named as Entrance Exhibitors to Trinity College Dublin.
Please note that while other members of the 2014 Leaving Certificate class may have performed exceptionally well, their names may not appear on any Irish university entrance list (or indeed be credited in the school league tables published this month). For example, Konrad Lang achieved a perfect 6 A1 grades in the Leaving Certificate examination but is planning to pursue his medical studies in his native Germany.
Congratulations to these students and indeed to all the DGS Leaving Certificate class of 2014. For all who are now engaged in further studies, we hope that everything has got off to a positive start.
