DGS at Ploughing Championships
What an excellent magazine…
During September (24th-26th) 2013 DGS teachers and students attended one of Ireland’s most popular events, the national ploughing championships. Click the link at the bottom of this page to read a report from the Farmers Journal.
Results of the Ploughing Championshiop Competition were as follows:
- First prize: Two nights B&B with a dinner in the Ballymascanlon Hotel (Courtesy of the Ballymascanlon Hotel) Winner: Maria O’Keefe, Moyvane, Co Kerry
- Second prize: Signed Ulster rugby shirt (Courtesy of Kukri Sports) Winner: Billy Fitzgerald, Kildimo, Co Limerick
- Third prize: HP Inkjet 6100 Printer (Courtesy of Sord Computing) Winner: Kathleen Langton, Athy, Co Kildare
Earlier in September 2013 the school was represented at the Education Expo in Shenzhen, a neighbouring city to Hong Kong.
