Congratulations to Dundalk Grammar School past pupil, Siofra Herr, who has been selected as a Naughton Scholarship Award winner for Co Louth for 2015.
The Naughton Scholarships are awarded annually to students who are taking up the study of a university course related to science, engineering or a technology discipline. An independent selection panel assesses all applications and significant importance and preference is given to those candidates who achieve the highest combined results in the Leaving Certificate in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects.
Siofra achieved outstanding results in her Leaving Certificate examination (scoring 7 A1s on Higher Level papers) and is now studying engineering at University College Dublin.
