Shoe Box Appeal

On Monday 12th October 2015, Team Hope launched their annual Christmas Shoebox Appeal on TV3’s Ireland AM.  Dundalk Grammar School was delighted to get involved again this year.

Students from Junior School, First Years in the Senior School and a Third Year CSPE group have been busy collecting items to fill their shoeboxes.  Peter Lynch and some of his volunteers visited the school during October and gave a very informative talk on the work of Team Hope. The response was fantastic.

The children who receive the gifts are victims of war, disease or poverty who live on the fringes of society, in some of the poorest countries in the world. The generosity of DGS students and parents will make a huge difference and give hope to children who find themselves in a seemingly hopeless situation.

A big thank you to Ms Lait, Ms Rennick, Ms Kelly in the Junior School and Ms Matthews in the Senior School for co-ordinating the collection.
