Prize Day 2013

On the 20th September 2013, Dundalk Grammar School held its annual Prize Day in Finnamore Hall (the school’s Multi-Purpose Hall).

The school was honoured to have Senator Mary Moran as guest speaker for the occasion.  In her speech Senator Moran stressed the importance of always “striving to be the best person that you can” and to “have the confidence to achieve what you want to achieve in school and in life”.  Senator Moran concluded her address wishing success and happiness to every DGS pupil as well as commending the excellence and dedication of DGS teachers.

The prizes presented on the day saw students rewarded for excellence across the whole spectrum of school life – this included academic prowess, community service, application and progress,spots and musical achievements.

The ceremony was followed by refreshments in the new dining hall in the Harper Building.
