32 athletes represented DGS in the Leinster League Orienteering in Santry, in October.

1st Year boys, though new to the sport, filled 7 of the top 8 spots, with Piaras Kelly, Mark Mc Donald and Liam Kelleher 2nd, 3rd & 4th respectively.

Valentina Grossi was best for the 1st Year girls, finishing in 4th place.

3rd Year James Lavery stormed round the course, scoring maximum points in 1st place in his event with Ohran Boyle close behind in 3rd.

TY boys also had a strong run, with Thomas Ritchie, Finn Lenox and Eoin Larkin finishing 2,3 & 4 with a maximum points tally.

TY girls also performed strongly, best were Amelia and Reyna who both located all 21 controls to finish 4th & 5th in their event.

Well done to all, next event is in Cabinteeley in early December.
