These students were awarded GOLD MEDALS for their project entries to the Young Economist of the Year Awards (YEOTY) 2023. The Gold Medal is the highest accolade that can be awarded for a project entry.

 

Jake’s project entry was on Ireland’s Housing Policy and a Comparison with Housing Policy in Japan, Austria and Finland

 

Corentin’s project entry was on The Economics of Gambling

 

Fikewa and Marlene’s project entry was on Social Housing

 

 

The Awards were presented last Friday in UCD in Dublin

 

This school was one of 3 schools to be awarded 3 Gold Medals in the Senior Category of Awards

 

The students are appreciative of the support and mentoring they received from Isabelle Janssen in 6 Economics class. Isabelle won a Gold Medal, the first student to do so in this school, for her project entry last year on the link between Government Incentives and the Purchasing of Electric Vehicles
