5th Year Politics and Economics students attended the Claire Byrne Live Show on RTE on Monday evening, Feb 11.

 

The main topic for discussion was Brexit, and its effects, with a focus on Northern Ireland and the Border, and Farming.

 

There was also a general political review of the week.

A notable feature of the Show is the younger profile of the audience, with students this time from Monaghan and Celbridge also in attendance, as part of their Politics and Society Classes.

 

As Politics beds in as a new Leaving Cert Course, there is no doubt that students are becoming more interested in Politics, and more politically aware.

The students enjoyed their evening, in many ways possibly the best education they will receive for the week.
