Presentations to Dundalk Dog Rescue and Dundalk Simon Community

Members of the Student Council, on behalf of the student body and staff, made Presentations to Dundalk Dog Rescue and Dundalk Simon Community, at the final Assembly of 2017 before everyone headed off for their Christmas holidays.

In what was a most fitting way to conclude term, a cheque was presented to a most grateful, and indeed emotional, Ann Monahan of Dundalk Dog Rescue. A second cheque was presented to an equally grateful Catherine Kieran of Dundalk Simon Community. The students also presented a large hamper of food to Dundalk Simon Community.

The hamper was the culmination of weeks of donations of food items from students and staff. The cheques that were presented were the proceeds of money raised from Non-Uniform Day, added to by a collection taken up the previous evening at the school’s Annual Carol Service.

Well done to the Student Council on spearheading the various collections, and to Sarah Logan, Chairperson of the Council, on her personal input in leading the drive by the Council to galvanise the student body in to action, culminating in these invaluable and much appreciated Presentations. A wonderful conclusion to a busy, varied and fulfilling term.
