Junior School Fete

The Junior School Christmas Fete is taking place on Thursday 4th December. It’s our biggest fund raiser, and we have arranged lots to look forward to on the day.

The fete is a really enjoyable social occasion when we invite parents to meet after the School Play, enjoy some mulled wine and mince pies, and pick up some of the treats on sale.

By tradition, parents and pupils bring cakes and treats to the school beforehand and the PTA sells them. The pupils love the business of buying (and eating) the goodies on sale! We will have a competition for ‘Best Decorated’ treats, so get your creative icing bags out if you’re so inclined! But don’t worry if you’re not Baker of the Year: some Rice Krispie cakes or bought buns are just as great.

We will also be selling our 2014 DGJS Christmas Tote Bag – with artwork by all Children and soon to be unveiled at the notice board so keep a look out! We will be providing prices and order forms at Prize Day next week.

And finally, our Name the Bear competition: Can you pick a clever name for this clever cuddly? The best name will be announced on the day, and the winner will get to take Mr Bear home. So get your entries in before Friday 28th November!  Really looking forward to seeing you on the 4th!
