Dundalk Grammar School will launch its first ever Health & Well-Being Week during 22-26 February 2016.  The focus during the week is to promote positive mental health and well-being among our school community. Students and staff will be involved in a range of events including workshops, holistic therapies, visiting guest speakers and extra-curricular activities including soccathons and asilent disco. Subject teachers will also highlight the theme in class during the week. All proceeds raised will be donated to the Donal Walsh Foundation and Mental Health Ireland. Details of the programme are included below.

Monday 22nd

9.30 – 11.00 Talk to 5th & 6th Years by Finbar Walsh (The Donal Walsh Foundation)
11.15 – 12.30 Talk to 1st 2nd & 3rd Years by Finbar Walsh
11.50 – 1.10 Beat the Blues Workshop (5th Year Blue)
1.50 – 3.10 Beat the Blues Workshop (5th Year Green)

Tuesday 23rd

11.00 – 11.15 Smiley Pancake Tuesday (Proceeds in aid of Mental Health Ireland)
11.50 – 1.10 Beat the Blues Workshop (6th Year Blue)
1.50 – 3.10 Beat the Blues Workshop (6th Year Green)

Wednesday 24th

8.50 – 2.40 Odd Sock & Funky Shoe Day (All Proceeds to The Donal Walsh Foundation)
10.25 – 2.40 Silent Disco comes to DGS (visit www.silentdisco.com) All Years for 1 class period.   Admission €2 (All Proceeds to The Donal Walsh Foundation)
3.00 – 6.00 1st Year Soccathon (All Proceeds to Mental Health Ireland)

Thursday 25th

9.05 – 3.50 Red Balloon Event (All Junior Cycle CSPE Classes)
11.50 – 1.10 Beat the Blues Workshop (6th Year Red)
1.50 – 3.10 Beat the Blues Workshop (6th Year White)

Friday 26th

1.05 – 1.10 DGS takes 5 for Mental Health
1.20 – 1.50 Performance by “Feeding Lilly” Band in the day canteen
