Transition Year Enterprise students travelled to Rushmere Shopping Centre in Craigavon on 6th February 2014.

They were there to take part in the Junior Achievement Young Enterprise Northern Ireland competition.

With over 40 mini companies present, the shopping centre was filled with young entrepreneurs hoping to achieve sales and gain valuable experience in running a business.

Victoria Mooney’s company “The Sugar Shack” won “Best Visiting Company”.  Indeed the judges were so impressed with Victoria’s entrepreneurial flair that she also end up winning “Most Outstanding Individual”.

Congratulations also to Cathy Bell and Isobelle Grebenshchikova on achieving “Runner Up visiting company”.

A few days earlier (on 4th February) members of 5th Year Economics Class were in the audience for the PrimeTime current affairs show broadacse from the RTE studios in Dublin.

The group are shown pictured with presenter Miriam O’Callaghan.
