DGS Junior School pupils and their parents responded to GOAL’s Winter Supplies Appeal for Syria in recent weeks.
Dozens of bags of items were collected and sent to GOAL via the local Topaz service station. The items, such as blankets, sleeping bags, coats and warm clothes are much needed to help Syrian refugee families cope with the expected cold winter conditions.
The donations will now be flown from Dublin to Istanbul on a humanitarian aid flight, then transported to Syria for distribution to the people who really need them. The Junior School PTA would like to thank the teachers, parents and pupils for their kindness and generosity to the appeal.
